The Results of Yielding to the Spirit
Why is this prayer so important? The Bible says that when the Holy Spirit intercedes through us, all things work together for good. This is a promise given in Romans 8:28. In Jude 1:20, the Bible instructs believers to build themselves on their most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost. Pastor Chris highlights how this passage reveals the results of such prayer. The amplified version says it means to “make progress” and “rise like an edifice higher and higher.”
This is a powerful picture. When you pray in the Spirit, you are not only addressing situations but also strengthening yourself. You become bolder, stronger, and more established in faith. It is like building a tall structure, adding one level after another. Each session of prayer lifts you higher.
